Firefighters from the 612th Air Base Squadron had the opportunity to train 23 firefighters from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras during the CENTAM SMOKE exercise Sept. 21, 2023, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The Central American firefighters had the opportunity to learn safety procedures, firefighters’ tactics and techniques, use of protective equipment, rope rescue, structural and aircraft firefighting, motor vehicle extrication, as well as sharing their experiences and enjoying friendly competitions.
