U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Forces, South, and Marine Corps Forces Reserve celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Marine Corps Support Facility, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sept. 28, 2023. National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 for the contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and Spain. The U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility includes many of these countries and strives to build partnerships and increase interoperability between these partner nations.
