U.S. Marines Corps Col. Victor Pastor, chief of staff for Marine Corps Forces, South, shares his insight and experiences as a Marine with Hispanic heritage during the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at Marine Corps Support Facility, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sept. 28, 2023. In his youth, Pastor spent many summers in his mother’s hometown in Peru where he learned to appreciate his Latino and American heritages. The U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility includes many Latin American countries and strives to build partnerships and increase interoperability between these partner nations.
