Sgt. 1st Class Jarmil Taylor, 2nd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery, 75th Field Artillery Brigade, gets emotional as he recounts the harrowing events he and other members of his unit faced during a human wave event in South Korea Oct. 31, 2022 to a film crew from Paramount+/CBS News. The incident killed more than 150 people due to crushing and asphyxiation. Taylor and his fellow Soldiers are credited with saving dozens of lives. He was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal for his actions.
