231012-N-LK647-1100 EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 12, 2023) Lt. Cmdr. Michael Ragusa, assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), communicates with the ship’s Central Control Station from the starboard bridge wing, as Normandy conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Medgar Evers (T-AKE 13), Oct. 12, 2023. Normandy is part of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group and is currently operating in the East Mediterranean Sea, at the direction of the Secretary of Defense. The U.S. maintains forward-deployed, ready, and postured forces to deter aggression and support security and stability around the world.
