More than 20 competitors were at Trojan Field Oct. 18 to test their ability in a trio of gridiron disciplines during the "Punt, Kick, Toss" event hosted by Camp Zama MWR.
Each participant got two tries to punt, kick and throw the ball as far as they could. Their best attempts in each event were then tallied for their total yardage.
In the women's division, Meta Martens placed first with a combined 74 yards. Placing second was Cecilia Alvarez with a combined 70 yards. Both are assigned to the 311th Military Intelligence Battalion.
In the men's division, Lenworth Lennon, also assigned to 311th MI, placed first with a combined 139 yards. Placing second was Isaac Johnson, assigned to US Army Aviation Battalion – Japan, with a combined 127 yards.
