An aircraft launch and recovery officer, commonly referred to as a "shooter," signals for the launch of a C-2A Greyhound, assigned to the Rawhides of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 40, on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). A C-2A Greyhound's primary mission is the transport of cargo, mail and passengers between carriers and shore bases. Harry S.
