Brisen Wilson, an engineer equipment operator with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271, throws an RQ-20B Puma small unmanned-aircraft system during Field Exercise (FEX) 1-24 at Marine Corps Outlying Landing Field Atlantic, North Carolina, Oct. 27, 2023. FEX 1-24 allowed MWSS-271 to conduct five of the six functions of aviation ground support using distributed aviation operations and distributed command-and-control tactics.
