Brazilian Army jungle school instructors assigned to 2nd Jungle Infantry Battalion (2º Batalhão de Infantaria de Selva) provide instruction on jungle movement and recovery methods to U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Belem, Brazil, Nov. 3, 2023. 101st Airborne Division Soldiers learned jungle survival skills in preparation for a field training exercise in the Amazon Jungle during Southern Vanguard 24, an annual bilateral exercise which rotates between partner nations in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility, and is designed to enhance partner interoperability between the U.S. and partner nation forces.
