U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Myles Jenkins, a New York native, administrative specialist with 2nd Intelligence Battalion, poses for a photo aboard the San Antonio class Navy vessel USS New York, Nov. 7, 2023. Growing up on fleet week and having a father who was a Marine that served in Vietnam, Cpl. Jenkins knew from a young age he wanted to be a Marine himself.
"I grew up on fleet week which made me want to join the Marine Corps. I grew up coming to fleet week a lot and seeing the ships, it's like a circle of life, a dream come true."
Jenkins currently plans on becoming a drill instructor and continue his Marine Corps career.
"Never give up on your title because you're always a Marine even when you get out."
