Sergeant Maj. MacArthur D. Ocampo, the 8th Theater Sustainment Command’s materiel management sergeant major in Fort Shafter, Hawaii, visits his grandfather’s grave in the family mausoleum in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines, Nov. 4, 2023, during a mission to his family’s country. Much like his grandfather – a World War II, Korea, and Vietnam veteran – Ocampo credits who he is and what he has to his military service, he said. Ocampo has served over 20 years and counting in the Army, and said, “the Army owes me nothing,” because of all the opportunities and benefits its provided. (Courtesy)
