In coordination with Dallas Mavericks' players and staff, nearly 300 bags of food items filled a Dallas warehouse after Citizen Airmen from the 136th Airlift Wing, Texas Air National Guard, and 301st Fighter Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, assemble a free Thanksgiving meal before delivering it to awaiting Dallas community vehicles November 14, 2023. As part of the Department of Defense's Commitment to Service initiative, Hoops for Troops pairs a National Basketball Association team with a local military unit in a joint effort to serve the local community.
