Erika Roesler, 136th Operations Support Squadron's Aircrew Flight Equipment Apprentice, high-fives a Dallas Mavericks team member November 14, 2023, while helping to deliver food items for a full Thanksgiving dinner to local Dallas community members as part of the Department of Defense's Commitment to Service initiative, Hoops for Troops pairs a National Basketball Association team with a local military unit in a joint effort to serve the local community. Airmen from the 136th Airlift Wing, Texas Air National Guard, and 301st Fighter Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, constructed nearly 300 bags of food items along with staff and members of the Dallas Mavericks team and delivered them to awaiting vehicles for a free Thanksgiving meal.
