Jose Alicea, a unit supply specialist assigned to 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, locates a grid coordinate on a map during 1-10 FA’s "back to the basics" promotion board at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Jan. 4. Soldiers were graded on six different common soldiering tasks before proceeding to a field promotion board. "One thing I wanted to do is achieve the total soldier concept," said 1-10 FA Command Sgt. Maj Mark A. Aaron. "This board gives us a better picture of these future leaders."
