Members of Leadership Oklahoma watch as a CH-47 Chinook lands at the Tulsa Air National Guard Base, Nov. 16, 2023. Fifty members of the organization gathered to learn about the Oklahoma National Guard and its role in local and national affairs. Leadership Oklahoma brings together 52 leaders from across the state each year to explore different session topics aimed at equipping them to be more effective in their communities and contribute to the progress of the state. This year’s visit included briefs from both Air and Army National Guard representatives on the reach and readiness of the Oklahoma National Guard, and culminated in a ride on a CH-47 Chinook. The visit showcased the role that the Oklahoma National Guard plays in safeguarding communities and maintaining a strong national defense. (Oklahoma National Guard photo by Spc. Danielle Rayon)
