The commanding general of 1st MLG flew alongside the 3rd MAW commanding general and with Marines of HMLA-267 to experience firsthand the combat capabilities of 3rd MAW, the Marine Corps’ largest aircraft wing. The AH-1Z Viper flown has the 1st MLG logo painted on the ammunition bay representing the close relationship between 1st MLG and 3rd MAW. As the Aviation Combat Element and Logistics Combat Element of I Marine Expeditionary Force, 3rd MAW and 1st MLG train together and support each other in both training and operations, at home and across the globe.
