David Bellon, commander of Marine Forces South, right, and Almirante-deesquadra fuzileiro naval (Brazilian Marine Corps general) Carlos Chagas Vianna Braga, commandant of the Brazilian Marine Corps, discuss the value of partnership in an ever-changing world during the 4th Brazilian Marine Corps Amphibious Symposium in Rio de Janeiro, Nov. 28, 2023. Bellon and Chagas held bilateral talks during the symposium to reaffirm the longstanding relationship between the two marine corps and to continue strengthening the strategic partnership. The Brazilian Marine Corps hosts this amphibious symposium every eight years as a forum to exchange ideas and foster camaraderie among marine corps and naval infantry around the world.
