231207-N-XN169-1072 MILLINGTON, Tenn. -- Sailors and civilians at Commander, Navy Recruiting Command observe Command Master Chief Jeremy Konopka salute the parading of colors during a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony, Dec. 7th, 2023. The observance marks 82 years since the Imperial Japanese Navy launched a surprise military strike against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The attack claimed the lives of over 2,400 Americans and was a major factor that led to the nation’s entry into World War II.
