The 440th Army Band under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Brent Harvey performed during the 74th North Carolina governor’s inauguration ceremony outside of the North Carolina capitol building in downtown Raleigh, Jan. 12, 2013. The 440th band was the opening act for the ceremony. Their music welcomed the thousands of guests and newly elected officials who attended the celebration. The band also participated in a parade, which followed the public swearing-in ceremony of the elected officials and the governor’s speech.
