Army Maj. John Seigler with the South Carolina Army National Guard pitches a solution to personnel record challenges to panel judges at the 2023 National Guard Bureau Innovation Challenge at the Herbert R. Temple Jr. Army National Guard Readiness Center, Arlington Hall Station, Dec. 7, 2023. The purpose of the competition was to find innovative solutions to challenges facing National Guard elements while building what competition officials described as an “innovation ecosystem” among Soldiers, Airmen and Guard civilians. Seigler’s team came in second place while members from the Arizona Army National Guard took home top honors for their concept of exportable maneuver live-fire capabilities.
