U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class William Iglehart, 388th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment technician, currently deployed to Kadena Air Base, Japan, washes the oxygen mouthpiece of an F-35A Lightning II pilot helmet as part of his regular duties during the Aviation Training Relocation program at Tsuiki Air Base, Japan, Dec. 6, 2023. As part of regular maintenance, cleaning the helmet’s mouthpiece before and after a flight helps prevent bacteria from building up and helps maintain the pilot’s health.
