Parts of two F-35A Lightning II helmet mouthpieces sit on a table, ready for assembly, after regular cleaning and maintenance done by an aircrew flight equipment airman as part of their regular duties during the Aviation Training Relocation program held at Tsuiki Air Base, Japan, Dec. 6, 2023. After maintenance the inner pieces of the helmet are properly sorted and inspected before reassembly is done and the helmet is ready before the pilot’s next flight.
