Parina Somnhot, commanding officer of USS Kidd (DDG 100) and Cmdr. Kevin Pilcher, Kidd’s executive officer, during a reception for distinguished visitors aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Sterett is in the Republic of Singapore for a port visit, supporting operational readiness and regional partnerships. Sterett is assigned to Carrier Strike Group 1 and deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
