Updated logo and title for video of the Expert Soldier Badge.
The ESB badge is meant to recognize those who have met a high standard of
performance in physical fitness and warfighting tasks.
The criteria for award of the ESB is that a soldier must perform in 30
Warrior Tasks and battle drills, and five unit-level mission essential
tasks, chosen by a commander, in addition to completion of a 12-mile foot
march, a land navigation test and the Army Combat Fitness Test.
An Expert Soldier Badge allows Soldiers, officer and warrant officers that
serve in nearly any military occupational specialty to show their skill. All
three of these badges are highly competitive, with pass rates often at or
below 20% of their group size.
