GULF OF ADEN (Oct. 23, 2023) Naval Aircrew Specialist (Helicopter) 2nd Class Elijah Hardy, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26, embarked aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), observes search and rescue jumps from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to HSC 26, in the Gulf of Aden, Oct. 23. Components of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to help ensure maritime security and stability in the Middle East region.
