This #FortRileyFriday we continue our look at buildings that originally served to support activities on the old Artillery Post.
Building 375 Carr Avenue was built in 1903. It was originally used as an Artillery Gun Shed. It was made out of #limestone walls and foundation with a slate roof and a brick floor.
Like most buildings in this area of post, by 1930 building 375 was redesignated from an Artillery facility to a Cavalry facility. This was a result of the Artillery School at #FortRiley being discontinued following World War I.
Today, building 375 is occupied by the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP). The
TMP manages and schedules the use of Army owned or leased non-tactical vehicles such as passenger cars, vans and trucks.
