A U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier II jet, assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223, returns from a flight at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Jan. 25, 2024. After completing the prerequisite training, Sgt. Eric Andrekopoulos, a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic with VMA-223, was afforded the opportunity to fly in an AV-8B Harrier II jet based on his superior performance and as an incentive for reenlisting for another four years of service in the Marine Corps.
