    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit       

    U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, advance toward a CH-53E Super Stallion during a helicopter boarding drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), in the Philippine Sea, Jan. 30, 2024. Boarding drills refine the Marines’ ability to board and offload helicopters quickly and efficiently during time critical mission sets.
