Students of the University of Hawai`i at Manoa Academy for Hawai`i Intelligence (AHI) and Rear Adm. Thomas Henderschedt, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command director for intelligence, take a group photo as part of the kickoff to the semester’s Intelligence Mentoring Program. Henderschedt and Hashimoto shared the importance of the intelligence community in the U.S. Indo-Pacific region, contributing to the program’s objectives to help students establish a historical, cultural, technical and creative foundation for excellence in the national intelligence job sector. USINDOPACOM is committed to enhancing stability in the Indo-Pacific region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, responding to contingencies, deterring aggression and, when necessary, fighting to win.
