Students of the University of Hawai`i at Manoa Academy for Hawai`i Intelligence (AHI) met with Rear Adm. Thomas Henderschedt, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command director for intelligence, and Maj. Gen. Mark Hashimoto, mobilization assistant to the commander of USINDOPACOM, to kick off the semester’s Intelligence Mentoring Program. Henderschedt and Hashimoto shared the importance of the intelligence community in the U.S. Indo-Pacific region, contributing to the program’s objectives to help students establish a historical, cultural, technical and creative foundation for excellence in the national intelligence job sector. USINDOPACOM is committed to enhancing stability in the Indo-Pacific region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, responding to contingencies, deterring aggression and, when necessary, fighting to win.
