U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Angel M. Starkey with 627th Hospital Center received the Order of Military Medical Merit presented by Maj. Gen. David Doyle, commanding general, 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson, at Fort Carson, Colorado, Jan. 31, 2024. Among many contributions to Army medicine, Starkey was the noncommissioned officer in charge of Family Medicine Residency Clinic at Fort Liberty, ensuring access to care to 150 Soldiers and families daily.
