AT-TAQADDUM, Iraq - About two dozen 155 mm rounds wait to be loaded into an M-777 Howitzer. Marines with Sierra Battery, 5th Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, can reach targets from miles away. The Marines ran firing drills and shot three or four rounds in each firing mission. The Howitzer is a long-range, indirect weapon system. A slight miscalculation can drastically effect a round's destination.
