    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Adonis Dotson, a communications officer with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, approaches a CH-53E Super Stallion during a mass casualty exercise, aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 5, 2024. The exercise tests the responsiveness and coordination of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force to rescue and treat numerous casualties at once within an expeditionary advanced base of operations. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Dotson is a native of Nebraska. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Tyler Andrews)
