Members assigned to special operations forces jump out of a UH-60 Black Hawk assigned to the 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Feb. 7, 2024. Free fall parachuting allows special operations forces personnel to deploy their parachutes at a predetermined altitude, assemble in the air, navigate under a canopy and land safely together as a tactical unit ready to execute their mission. U.S. Special Operations Command, Special Operations Command Central and Joint Communications Support Element conducted a non-tactical free fall operation over MacDill as part of a monthly training requirement.
