Members assigned to special operations forces descend toward MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Feb. 7, 2024. Free fall parachuting allows special operations forces personnel to deploy their parachutes at a predetermined altitude, assemble in the air, navigate under a canopy and land safely together as a tactical unit ready to execute their mission. U.S. Special Operations Command, Special Operations Command Central and Joint Communications Support Element conducted a non-tactical free fall operation over MacDill as part of a monthly training requirement.
