U.S. Army Spc. Reuben Browning, a medic assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Parachute Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, participates in an army combat fitness test as part of the best medic competition assessment and selection, Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Feb. 13, 2024. SETAF-AF hosted a best medic competition assessment and selection from Feb. 13-14, at Caserma Del Din and Caserma Ederle in order to select the best medics to represent 173rd Airborne Brigade in the FY24 Army Best Medic Competition. The 24-hour selection program measures a range of critical skills, including trauma care, emergency medicine, and physical fitness. Through rigorous and competitive scenarios, the selection program serves to elevate and showcase the proficiency of medics, fostering a culture of excellence within military medical teams.
