Air Force Public Affairs specialists greet Brig. Gen. Arthur W. Hinaman and Brig. General Marc H. Sasseville at the 121st Medical Company (Air Ambulance), a Virginia National Guard air crew, comprised of both pilots and maintainers. Based at DAA (Davison AAF, Fort Belvoir, Va.), DC-NG's 121st Medical Company was the first National Guard unit to receive the medevac-configured version of the UH-72A. The 121st is tasked with providing National Guard medevac support to the National Capital Region to include presidential inauguration support.
Brig. Gen. Hinaman is commander, Land Component Command, District of Columbia National Guard. He is responsible for the overall readiness, training, maintenance and operational employment of the units assigned and attached to the District of Columbia Army National Guard. Brig. Gen. Sasseville is the commander, 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard, Andrews Air Force Base, Md. He is responsible for more than 1,200 personnel in support of both F-16 (Air Combat Command) fighter and C-38 and C-40 VIP airlift (Air Mobility Command) aircraft missions.
