    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit       

    U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Andrew Tregear, a bulk fuel specialist with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, reorganizes grounding cable while setting up a forward arming and refueling point, on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 14, 2024. A FARP is a point of operations to refuel and rearm U.S. aircrafts outside of a forward operating base. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo- Pacific region.
