Juan Flores, 47th Operational Support Squadron
Senior Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) from the 47th Operational Support Squadron monitor ATCs as they direct aircraft at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, Feb 12, 2024. The radar approach control (RAPCON) monitors and directs hundreds of military and civilian aircraft every day. RAPCON begins to get in contact with aircraft when they are about 60 miles away from Laughlin, providing information to pilots about where they should fly to stay safe.
