Service members from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and USS Tarawa provided medical and dental care for villagers of Goubetto, Djibouti, during a Medical Civil Action Project. A Djiboutian child holds up a patient information card the medical staff uses to document each case. Military doctors and medics work with local Djiboutian healthcare officials to provide basic medical and dental care. The two-day MEDCAP treated more then 560 patients. The MEDCAP is scheduled for a total of six days, servicing a total of three villages. The military team spends two days in each village before moving onto the next one.
