Force Master Chief Jason Dunn, the senior enlisted leader for Commander, Navy Installations Command, which oversees 70 Navy bases around the world, speaks with a Hawaii resident about the Navy’s Drinking Water Long-Term Monitoring program during a night market event at Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Feb. 14, 2024. The Navy hosts a monthly information booth at various locations to inform the public about the program and how to read drinking water results on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Safe Waters website. Dunn is one of several Navy leaders who traveled to Hawaii to support the Navy Closure Task Force - Red Hill (NCTF-RH). Charged with the safe decommissioning of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility (RHBFSF), NCTF-RH was established by the Department of the Navy as a commitment to the community and the environment. The Navy continues to engage with the people of Hawaii, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders as NCTF-RH works to safely and deliberately decommission the RHBFSF.
