Force Master Chief Jason Dunn, the senior enlisted leader for Commander, Navy Installations Command, which oversees 70 Navy bases around the world, speaks with Hawaii residents about the Navy’s Drinking Water Long-Term Monitoring program during a night market event at Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Feb. 14, 2024. The Navy hosts a monthly information booth at various locations to inform the public about the program and how to read drinking water results on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Safe Waters website. Dunn is one of several Navy leaders who traveled to Hawaii to support the Navy Closure Task Force - Red Hill (NCTF-RH). Charged with the safe decommissioning of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility (RHBFSF), NCTF-RH was established by the Department of the Navy as a commitment to the community and the environment. The Navy continues to engage with the people of Hawaii, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders as NCTF-RH works to safely and deliberately decommission the RHBFSF.
