PACIFIC OCEAN (February 12, 2024) — Cmdr. Michael McInerney, commanding officer of the guided-missile destroyer USS Russell (DDG 59), gets checked out on one of the ship's .50 cal. machine guns by Gunner's Mate 2nd Class Nathan Voechting as the ship prepared for a live fire exercise at sea.
