Cashman, center, deputy commanding general of SETAF-AF, the Legion of Merit, at Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy on Feb. 26, 2024. The Legion of Merit (LOM) is given for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe and Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
