Marines stand at parade rest during a dinner in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the 1st Marine Division at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., Feb. 1, 2013. They performed in a cake cutting ceremony, a traditional birthday celebration in the Marine Corps. During the ceremony, the hosting official passes a piece of cake to the oldest Marine present.
