This first delivery of the new P-8A Poseidon is a historic moment as it is the first purpose-built aircraft sent directly to the Navy Reserve’s defense architecture in its aggressive transformation as an elite warfighting organization. Our patrol aircraft deploy and operate globally in support of national defense priorities executing myriad missions ranging from supporting homeland defense (HLD), participating in exercises sustaining fleet readiness, and work alongside partner and allied nations maintaining proficiency and increasing interoperability.
