U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Adan Moreno, the outgoing sergeant major of Marine Corps Recruiting Command, prepares to hand off the noncommissioned officer sword to Maj. Gen. William Bowers who will then present the sword to Sgt. Maj. Allen Goodyear, the incoming sergeant major of MCRC, during the post and relief ceremony held at Little Hall on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., on March 8, 2024. During the ceremony Sgt. Maj. Adan Moreno relinquished his post to Sgt. Maj. Allen Goodyear and marked the successful completion of his 30-year career as a United States Marine. Goodyear joined MCRC after successfully serving as the command senior enlisted leader of Marine Corps Systems Command. His previous tours with MCRC included as a recruiter out of Recruiting Station St. Louis, Mo., and as staff noncommissioned officer-in-charge of Recruiting Sub Station Quincy, Ill.
