U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. William Bowers, the commanding general of Marine Corps Recruiting Command, addresses the Marines of MCRC during the relief and appointment ceremony held at Little Hall, on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., on March 8, 2024. During the ceremony Sgt. Maj. Adan Moreno relinquished his post to Sgt. Maj. Allen Goodyear and marked the successful completion of his 30-year career as a United States Marine. Goodyear joined MCRC after successfully serving as the command senior enlisted leader of Marine Corps Systems Command. His previous tours with MCRC included as a recruiter out of Recruiting Station St. Louis, Mo., and as staff noncommissioned officer-in-charge of Recruiting Sub Station Quincy, Ill.
