U.S. Army SPC. Melvin Harper, a combat engineer assigned to 9th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, guides an M1074 joint assault bridge system off of a 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade’s M1300 tractor and M1302 trailer enhanced heavy equipment transporter system at a planned wet gap crossing site near Sędrowo, Poland, March 6, 2024. The logisticians are transporting the equipment in support of Exercise Dragon 24, a Polish-led, multinational exercise that demonstrates the readiness of allied forces to respond to and defend against threats to the country’s borders. During the exercise, these logisticians and Polish and U.S. military engineers enabled freedom of movement for the multinational armored force marching more than 300 km along two corridors, demonstrating combat power for deterrence against adversarial aggression.
