Staff Sgt. Ryan Ransford with 2nd Battalion, 150th Field Artillery Regiment is on his second mile of an eight mile ruck march during the Best Warrior Competition at Camp Atterbury, Ind. on March 15, 2024. Participants are challenged to complete this event with a minimum thirty-five pound rucksack and at a fifteen minute per mile pace. Best Warrior Competition is an annual event that seeks to test the most skilled and proficient warriors on many basic soldier tasks such as physical fitness, marksmanship, combat readiness and more.
